CO2 emissions have been causing the Earth’s atmosphere to warm up and change the climate in many ways that are damaging. The atmosphere doesn’t collect all of the CO2 emissions released into the air, but at least 30% is dissolved into the ocean. Due to the drastically increasing amounts of CO2 emissions, scientists are finding frightening evidence of a decrease in biodiversity, and the destruction of the overall structure of the ocean and coastal ecosystems. Dying Diversity colorfully pinpoints which studied species will be affected in the next 100 years due to CO2 emissions. The lines demonstrate a wave like motion, emphasizing the species in red, which is the majority of which will not survive.
